There they go, blue masks, heavy boots
Spraying their guns in sparking suits
There they go, under the sun, as she creeps
Working alone as Italy sleeps
There they go, the front line, the protectors
Spraying away, the virus rejectors
There they go, quietly waking, in isolation
Slowly but surely saving their nation
There they go, up and down, street to street
No one to smile to and no one to greet
There they go, the workers, the foot men
When they’ve cleansed what happens then
There they go, the exterminators, the real fight
Hoping to make it happy and to make it right
There they go, calmly killing gestation
Hopefully lifting this strong Italian nation
I put my heart into a box
Then wrapped the box with ribbon
Your address was then wrote on it
And to the post office it was given

It boarded a van in Manchester
Then on an aeroplane it went for a ride
Along with a clear instruction
This parcel is fragile inside

You opened it on your birthday
And tears flowed from your eyes
You may be thousands of miles away
But love just never dies
Say my name
But say it loud
And I will come
Like a cloud
Hear my tap
And my distant call
Cause I’m around you
Spirit and all
Wrapping you up
Keeping you warm
Hurting the negative
As it starts to swarm
I’ll guide your head
Cause I know it’s torn
You’ll feel special again
Like the day you were born
Say my name
But say it loud
I’m all all around you
Like a cloud
She rolled around in knee high boots
All flirty with the grass
I placed my hand on her head
I’d got with her at last
We giggled for a life time
And made love for a million years
The insects were watching us in wonder
I could hear them in my ears
And then we spoke about nothing
But all the world come out
Silly little conversations
That none of us knew nothing about
We forgot about the time
The love got in the way
Fifty years and still as strong
It feels like yesterday
I walked through the shadows
Not all of them were death

I walked through angels
With bitterness in my breath

I walked through humanity
Confused of wrong and right

I walked through space
Like a star in the night

I walked through dream land
Crawling on hands and knees

I walked through dimensions
Looking for the keys

I walked through people
Feeling all their pain

I walked through myself
Hiding in the rain

I walked through nature
Buoyant and full of zest

I walked through peace
And laid myself to rest
Denials, lies, witch hunts and files
Hidings their faces
Aiding their cause
Laughing at justice
Laughing at right
The innocent are never innocent
In the cold moons light
Out on the street
Under the stars
Lives a man
With pickles in jars
In a ripped tweed jacket
And blue suede shoes
He thinks he’s elvis
Singing the blues
The demon drink
Has destroyed his brains
But life isn’t over
As it runs through his veins
He Battles the foxes
Over the bins that they share
And swears at people
Who see him and stare
His name is Francois
And his home is a bench
If you ask him a question
He’ll answer in french
The eccentric forgotten star
Still likes to entertain
Watchers showing interest
A distraction from the pain
