Children cling
To the white flowers
Held with bruised hands
Stained by reality
Drenched in naivety
Always happy, always perfect
Living sweet lies
Now they grow up
And expect it for life
Until they look back down
Onto their whitest flowers
Turned a mosaic
Blues, yellows, reds, greens
Sadness, joy, rage, nourishment
All in one

A social cycle
Built on building hopes
Until they fall apart
Forced to look inside
Wondering if it will last this time
Unlimited potential
Limitless value
There are so many
Does our value multiply?
All that we do deepens the divide
I wish it weren't true
Teary to tearless
I wish that I could cry
A heart with no alibi
Across the land and sky

Wrong? I'm right.
Spite? Not in my life.
Thoughts are accessible
And so are mine
As I draw you in
My opinion multiplies
Double down, triple down
I can never lose
If I never touch ground
Consider my identity
It may feel uncanny
Because my life is a lie
My personality corporatized
I can scream to the skies
But it would break my character
It would break my lies

Rhetoric
Language
Illustrating an illusion
The peak of humanity
Knowledge once clandestine
Turns into a truth so blunt
A lie so obvious
An animosity so raw
Now the gloves have come off
And all of our feelings
Become bared for all

Water drys out
Lands goes barren
More of us
Less to sustain us
Take less? Help others?
Modern society seeks satisfaction
Everything is finite
A life infinitely impossible
Sickness will hurt
Survival from birth
Going up and increasing
Our mountains of profit
Jump off into a chasm

Doves in cages
Bodies in boxes
Body in water
Decks of cards
Tricks and traps
Mundane magic
Bringing joy to many
Tricked into a life
That was once enjoyed
Bells and whistles
Feeble but nimble
Always on the move
Because of the system

Healing the hurting
Days, weeks, months, years
Dawn to dusk
Pain reliever
Pain perceiver
Only so much
Only so little
Until one day
The wound cuts bone
