“Lang May Your Lum Reek"

Leave
A light on
Like
A fire aglow
Keep
One burning
As
A warm hello

Leave
A light on
Illuminate
The way
Let
Neighbors know
They’re
Welcome to stay

Leave
A light on
Not
Just for books
It’s says
You’re welcome
Come
Into my nook

Leave a light on
Its
Simple to do
If
Down turns them
Off
It’s
All up for you

I’ve never fathered children
To say or call my own
Though
Do Have many offspring
Of things
I’ve seen, then sown

I’ve fathered many words
Which fathered many more
Some grew into poems
Though none
We’re named…
"Lenore"

I developed many photos
Tweaking
Here and there
They may live on forever
I’ll leave them in your care

I’ve conjured many dishes
Some
I’ve written down
Other's
Will expire
They’ll go
When I am gone

I’ve never fathered children
Though
Leave this legacy
I know
It’s not the same
But…
Keeps good company

Big Buoy Bob

There is a big buoy
Named Bob
He has an unusual job
He sits on the grass
With his ever flat ***
Never to ring
His ding ****

Road Trip

I Love a road trip
With no where to go
Just hop in the car
And go with the flow

I love a road trip
That turns into more
Breakfast in Boston
Then off to the shore

I love a road trip
With ice cream and clams
A stroll on the beach
No cares and no plans

I love being out
With me and with you
I love a road trip
With all of its views

I don’t believe in god
Though
Do believe in you
And hope someday
We’ll tolerate
Our different points
Of view

Natural Wonder

If there were an earthquake
They surely wouldn’t know
Their love is so tremendous
They’d hardly feel the blow

If there were a twister
They wouldn’t even sneeze
Love is their shelter
They’d only feel a breeze

If there were a flood
They’d stay high & dry
Love is a mountain
Their ark in the sky

If there were a riot
Or even a stampede
Their love is like a shield
For all the world to see

Loves force of nature
Will nullify the rest
A true natural wonder
Can weather any test

Life’s Linguistics

Music is language
That speaks
To us all
It asks
And it tells
Like human
Bird calls

Food is our greeter
It says…
Come on in!
It gives
Then it feeds
With warm
Welcome grins

Art is the glue
That says
We’re all human
It draws us
All in
While we’re all
Bloomin’
