Live Tao
I shall concern myself
with neither
the past nor the future
right now:

The past culminates in the present,
and the present is the gateway to the future:

I'm going to learn and anticipate,
but, most of all,
I'm going to live
right now.

You had a *** dream about us,
I dreamt I feel off a ladder.

I had a *** dream about us,
you dreamt of a world aflame.

You know,
what we share
is just as intimidating
as what we do not.
Quirky, playful, fictional, true.

Mythos
Seeking meaning,
it abounds.

Assuming none,
none is found.
If gossip be as a hobby,
maybe that noxious scrutiny
oughtta be turned inwards:
the toxicity of talking ****
(however insidious and infectious)
shall taint your humility and soil your words:

Tread carefully;
such paths be steep:
what One opts to sew
One inexorably reaps.

Gravitas
Make thyself important,
though not by mere words;
for they who claim importance
are fatally mistaken all too often.

Make thyself important
and none shall turn from thee for long,
for thy merit and consummation
shall be thy calling card:

-
Be good at what you do.
Do what you love.
Love what nurtures thy soul.
Inspire others to do the same.

These are but four of the tenets by which I try to live.

If they are shown to be obsolete,
they shall be revised,
but, until such a time,
they seem to be wise.

how to apply it.

Wisdom
is not a concept;
it is a way of life:
philosophy.

kein anderen Weg.

Sie leuchtet die Träume an,
die immer um ihr kreisen.
Das würd' ich nicht ändern
wenn auch ich könnte.

Ihr Haut kann so nah sein,
doch auch so sehr weit.
Egal wie erreichbar es ist,
lechze ich noch danach.
The (female) Ignitor

Indeed was there nobody quite like her:

Her eyes were hypnotic,
and her hair was as a black waterfall
which sated some sort of fire in me,
while another fire ignited.

To think of her
is to ignite the Soul,
yet I would have it truly
no other way.

She illuminates the dreams
that circle always around her.

Her skin can be so close,
yet also so very far.

I don't care how attainable it is,
I lust yet thereafter.

One, who makes One's problems
reflections of the External,
opts that One's Reality
shall manifest as One's Hell.

One, who realizes One's problems
root most often in One's Self,
opts that One's Reality
shall manifest as One's Nirvana.

It is in the best interest

Cities nullify Stars
Our city lights,
however small in comparison,
nullify the countless Stars
of the wondrous night Sky.

Perhaps
this is analogous to how
things that seem to be
so very close,
so very small,
so very benign,
so very familiar,
so very attainable;
things of our conscious creation;
can preclude even the very awareness
of far greater,
far more beautiful,
far more powerful things;
both external and internal;
both transient and eternal;
and why we must
take great care
and
act with great tact
and
act with immense respect
if
we, as mortals:
curators of reality;
are to be trusted
with such effervescent potency.

Skill
If you can impress without effort,
you're likely doing something right.

If you can't impress with effort,
you're likely doing something wrong.
Any thing
that keeps One
from practicing
at least an hour a day
is a hindrance
to One's Art.

If it is a person,
they disrespect One's
divine creative spark.

If it is internal to the mind,
it is self-discipline and patience
that are lacking.

If it is external to the mind,
it is perseverance and determination
that are lacking.

Art is struggle;
both against One's Self and One's environment,
physically, socially and emotionally.

Art is a path, a veritable way of life,
lost on the weak of heart
lost on the uninspired
lost on the masses.

Derision vs. Edification
Putting others down,
is a defense mechanism
for the inferior psyche
of the lesser person:

If One can put others down
so as to appear higher than them,
One mustn't exert any effort
to elevate One's Self.

Forbidden Fruit
Without the danger,
where's the excitement?

Without the consequence,
where's the temptation?

Without the pressure,
where is the drive?

As you create rules,
you create deviants.

As we have well known
for ages ages upon ages:
the forbidden fruit is the sweetest;
yet, we continue to condemn.

The Expert Enough Manifesto
We are all capable of so much more than we think.
Most people never scratch the surface of what they're capable of.

Expertise is relative.
Expertise doesn't come from a piece of paper.

Life is richest when we become good at a lot of different things.
“Know-it-all,” “Jill of all trades,” and “renaissance man” are compliments.

Life is an experiment.

You don't have to wait for permission,
and you don't need anyone else to grant you status.

It's not about being the world's greatest expert.
It's about being expert enough to accomplish your goals.

The more you use creativity, the more you get.

Brilliance lies within each of us.
Follow your passion.

Go now. Live. Play. Explore.
*Learn* more. Do more. Be more.

Poetry isn't written:

Words are written,
and Poetry is read.
"If you've got a better idea, go and do it yourself."
They who say it's impossible
oughtn't interfere with those who are busy doing it.

Words as Distractions
I'm not a poet,
I just write thoughts.
Sometimes they take verse,
but mostly they do not.

If you feel a need
to put a label on everything,
I lament to see your state of mind
in a decade or two.

Your mind and world
will only shrink.
Names are useful tools,
but any tool used as a crutch
will fail.

Except , of course,
for crutches, but even then,
they're to assist when you need them:
the idea is not to need them.

The name that can be named
is not the eternal name.
