Pin a rose
Antony Glaser Feb 2022
Under open skies,
there are no lies
looking forward not showing
you robbed what was mine forever.
Where you ever over curious,
that made you weak.
You say you are unique
but I've seen the self-pity,
chase the sun
that brought us together.

Jaded love
Antony Glaser Jun 2022
with love jaded,
bright young things should enjoin
the gossamer quilt of another day.
fortitude should follow,
daybreak may forbid you,
but you come hither
on a given day.

Could you give me your Ph.D.?

Let your care and concern

Quiet contray
Antony Glaser Aug 2022
Mary Mary.
The mottled peebles awaits
the light of the morning.
Fabled tales regail,
undoing their promises.

Through the nest,
the ship has sailed,
strange lands appear.
The wash lances against
the plaid sky.

Strangely Sunday love
is begone.
Soft was its murmur.
I've been on the blossom so long
Take pity on my bearings.

It's the tiptoe through the woods
that persists the foraging trail
Green is the high hills

Bright contrite
Antony Glaser Apr 2022
Half the world is contrite
the other half wanton
I hope to make it some day
in the bright lights

I tried to talk on the telephone
the silence was too much
I tried to read a letter
but I could only do it between the lines

For the good times have come to an end
I've got to find relief

Whose antics?
Antony Glaser Mar 2022
Hearts and holograms
Snoring shabby cat amongst the rugs.
Pomegranates and playing cards
Memories are like scattered roses

A fireside of crackling antics.
A Soliquoy at its own behest.

These are your tired orange curtains,
silence after the fall,
such a pretty afternoon

Conflating thunderous intentions
Give rise to the lies
A passion play for the undoing

Shuttered windows strike again
Lonely recess

These Poetry Days
Antony Glaser Oct 2021
Hello this is my poem
the one I sneaked on my mobile
whilst inspired by a journey to work
There was this impressive man
who exceeded the apex of my dreams
but I could never slay the sartorial dragon for him
my poetical vocabulary was too low brow
These arent my bouts of normal surrender
Yet there's never enough understanding
shown by my fairweather peers

Jenny, we are old  friends
and at a drop of a hat
I run to the end of the world for you
The Vet has again performed miracles
shinny and new
shop new,
you are the Lazarus of the cat world

Keep the faith and  don't lose heart
don't let old age tarry you
I should see more of you

like a Venetian  canopy
Back to Back, I seek her advice

Quite undeserving!

The boy has caught me early spring
by the fireside we sojourn
Ain't got no hired limousine
no imagination for the road
The boy caught me singing
harmoniously undercover
Handsome  brown eyes
will reappraise me yet
Like a fiery fire
I'm going down big easily.
Got love to share
and an abundance of hope
Come and see me
like a bird in my tree
at my place

Antony Glaser May 2022
It's raining on the windowsill
a forever lonely man is in a quandary,
its sad news
love has stalled:
satin excuses straight as lace.
Old Man is forever aware of changes.
Now the Sun is peeling,
and his sojourn has faded,
like the journeyman easing into discomfiture
while the moon ponders.

Rusty keyhole
Antony Glaser Nov 2021
He came to the home as a wispy shadow
through the rusty keyhole
having lost direction on the way
opening the door
he found that read letters don't grow very well

He sought goodness
in spite of knowing where the weeds grew
In the thick of the fight
he succumbed to being the anti-hero
but a metaphor in the voidness of
the facing night

for your orchestra with your Son Peter

cultivated by the gardeners hand
the beauty of the happy life

comes through fields of leaves.

The stiff trees murmurs memory
once galloping antelopes on the hoof

Rainclouds fall like christening diamonds.
Yet there's no silver lining,

deeply woven, establishing a living,
trying to convince ourselves,

Submerge yourself with sorrow
make every wish aloft,
cease the leaves of lead.
Soon they will be unenvied by them all,
bream like the sullied.

Grief as sure as a fired gun.
A house without windows,
and when the door opens
they glisten of earthen ware
within a cold summer murmur,
words are all the same
a tapestry for the unfulfilled
and God is weary of the rain

Remember the first photograph
before the cool of summer was spent,
the drench of rainwater presided.
A woman  scorned,
past lovers travail,
come on here's a message in my head,
so we can plant the beating of your heart,
and watch the fields turn green,
wake with pride,
to the banality of bullfrogs shouting,
whilst the war goes on.
With an optic view of a grave,
howling with  blood.

time warry or just plain preoccupied,
not generous with their time:
