He blows you with his words
The fire of youth gone
He fails you in the wind
digging the trench
forced a smile
never good deeds
Stake and Jury
fixed in your tracts
ice-cold plight

I hate it the way you told
me to eat greens
when I take multivitamins
or the when one's penfriend promises
a Non spent letter
I hate the way you say i'm overdrawn
when pro rota I never overspend
or I shouldn't get a female cat
on health grounds
When Ive just lost Jenny

Peter used to offer birds
he is no longer a  mouser
Has he tamed himself?
Now he sleeps
on his Masters bed
Has this answered a pray?
Wrapped around his own tranquility

Someone schemed a forgotten dream
Taking their chemise dress into the rain
Until the Sun blossomed again

The Queen of consternation
drinks champagne wine
She picks marigolds before play

See how they shimmer
Autumn leaves
myriad never the same

She has faced her cares down
reading lackadaisical from lovers pages
She's old enough to know better

Autumn comes loftily
does somersault silhouettes
and turns a man into a tree

In twilight
we play in the fields
and life has a golden hue

The overripe pumpkins are harvested
The hollow wind
strips the foliage

The rays of Autumnal  light
returned us to a familial sheaved place
