I am an outsider
who foresaw the day

the poetry changed

my spirit was sensed
in presence and stillness
a calmed version
of static reality

drifting deeper
into one vibration
a tone that carries us
away

I like it
when the world is
calm

stable,
as nature is

with direction and purpose
no confusion
in the air

Don't let other people's
ideas
pollute your,
experience

Armageddon,
friend
why it's
here

fall

as

a

teardrop

into the essence
of rising
freedom

orange morning light
and snow-flake ash

the taste of burnt manzanita    

fire to the north,
fire to the south
a valley enclosed
in uncertainty

apocalyptic sun
blotted out by
smoke,
a color just as beautiful
as it is eery

The light burns,
though it’s something
we all must face

There's no place on earth,
more peaceful than
the redwoods
