Pit of eternal darkness,
Festering inside my soul,
Lost to a new sense of bleakness,
This warmth brought to cold.

Regret and sadness from the void,
Feelings that I never felt.
This facade once destroyed,
Feel the pain that is dealt.

Why this pain in my chest,
Stinging and sharply beating.
Is there any cloth or vest,
An armor or sheeting?

Is it possible to go,
Unimpeded by my evil,
To the place were time is slow,
And without this ache so ill.

How can I feel what was lost,
Tucked and forgotten,
Paying for that true cost,

I must flee from this site
The others mustn't see this sport.

Dear crimson blanket of mine,
This edge is not the end,

The lights flash before my eyes

Like a worm it inches
The squirming and scratching.
It never falters or flinches
Hands undoing the latching.

Scratch scratch, tap tap.
He calls out my name.
Pound pound, rap rap.
I am the one to blame.

The sights and sounds
Strange yet familiar.
From under all mounds,
Far from the bright star.

I hear its pleas for help.
Scrape scrape, pound pound.
The silence of the whelp
Knock knock, No sound.

Around every corner,
In the darkest places,
The shimmering black fur
Hiding grotesque faces.

Scratch scratch, crumble crumble.
The tongue begins to lap.
Fall fall, tumble tumble.
I can feel its bones snap.

You sit there, dressed in red.
But it was all in good fun.
I listened to what you said.
One can not change what's done.

Hunt hunt, stalk stalk.
You shall never be found.
Tick tick, tock tock.
That insufferable sound.

The men in black noticed me
Blended well into the night.
They come to end the spree
And bring me to rooms of white.

Rock rock, cackle cackle.
This forced eternal hug of mine.
Run run, tackle tackle.
My last rays of sun now shine.

I can not see that light,
Brought forth from the heavens.
This, my greatest plight,
Such as lucky sevens.

With stern and hollow voice,
This red haze commands me.
"You got but one choice,

One demon in my head,
Lost to the world of grace.
Come forth from the haze red.
Oh mighty demon face.

Is his presence noble?
He gave me that smirk.
Power known global,
Surely you seen his work.

The Middle East, his art
World Wars, his pride and joy.
Few try to outsmart,
For all lose to the ploy.

Fangs, like needles, pierce
Through thin flesh does bleed.
Demons will make me fierce,
Alone in times of need.

Claws carve away the skin,
For the final master change.
I can not fight and win,
My power is not in range.

Locked away by it,
The same cage that confined.
Only seen by a slit,
Controlling my mind.
