Can you understand?
No, will you understand?
The day can start off just fine,
Then turn and make you want to die.

High school is the most important thing,
But all you find are drugs and pain.
People leave and stab you in the back.
You WILL lose trust.
Friends will leave,
And they won't come back.

It's Junior year,
You finally understand how important everything is,
But as soon as you start,
You will want to stop.
You put a mask,
Attempting to keep your stress hidden.
You look back on memories,
And you realize,
You can't be a kid.

The summers get shorter,
And the school years longer.
You get stabbed in the back so many times,
That you just give up.

The school never understands,
Even when they say they can help.
The most important time in your life,
Will most likely become the time you want to die.

This is only part of the story,
Maybe you'll stick around for the rest.
Or maybe,
I'll finally have eternal rest.

What is that ear-piercing sound?
Maybe it's a cars tires,
Or an animal,
Yeah an animal.

You rule out every single possibility,
That it could be yourself.
You say you're fine,
But you let the past and memories remind you.
Even when you're together with other people,
You feel like you're the last of your kind.

Nobody pays attention to how you act,
To how you feel.
And then it becomes true,
You end up as the very last of your kind.
It's like looking at yourself,
From outside of your body.
Then you realize.

You're afraid,
You're alone.
All you have is yourself.
You really are the last of your kind.
