Hell's demons are everywhere
If I could only convince you to see
Drinking gin and tonic with style
Sipping haughtily on lemon and tea

Their distorted evil frightening faces
Are masked from human sight
As they pass you with indifference
Grinning and nodding
Moving left to right

However
Without warning
As their vicious appetites call
Growing hungry for souls
In the silence of the night
They gobble up foolish sinners they encounter
That disappear forever from sight

So the next time you have the desire to dine in the  evening
Take a  moment or a second or two
Remember faces are not all they seem
A demon may be sipping a martini,
While smiling and sitting right next to you

I waltz with demons of emotion
That spin me round and round
Dizzy
How sweetly it burns
It appears through our life
All humans must take a turn

Demons dance and so do I
Today glorious sun on my face
Tomorrow darkened skies
Still I spin

I have drawn my lot
Written long ago in the stars
The demons dance
Beckoned
So do I

The battle ensued
Between combatants heart and mind
As loneliness whispered softly
Of tenderness
In cooing song and rhyme

The brain issued a stern warning
Of heartache and the ache of sorrow
The turmoil of the soul
And the price
The wrath of storms coming

Love ignored words of caution
With little thought of consequence
Forging fearlessly and foolishly ahead
Igniting a small spark
Accompanied smoke trails in the night
Long ago thought dead

Glowing orange blue flickering embers
Soon a smoldering burning fire
Did awaken from memories long sleep
The emotion
Desire

Joy’s innocent lovely face
Kissed with wrath
By deceitful lips of sorrow
Naive heart touched by the hands of woe and greed
So began the planting of hearts seed

Frail scented blossoms
Despairs purple flowers
Fall headlong helpless
Into destinies misty tomorrows
Bitterness ever grown
In sour soil
Broken soul tears were sown
A bouquet of sadness
Melancholy’s songs
Despair’s garden

He who would break an oath
With an innocent face to the dying
Will suffer the same fate
Spit upon and forgotten
In cursed ground lying

Those who inflict pain with pleasure
So too will be their life
Falling high to low
Snared by evil deeds
In a net of burning lies

Destinies hand will rest firmly
Upon the wicked shoulder
So in the pits of hell forever more
Will this lost soul smolder

The soul begged for another chance
Destiny answered
There will be no consideration
Turning her face away
No mercy or pity offered
For the cries of desperation

To all you do nothings
Sitting quietly at home
Afraid to voice your opinions
Sitting still as stone
You will be the first ones in line to die
When the bombs start to drop from friendly skies

You think by not speaking
Hiding in your little room
You and yours will be saved
Come the day of red doom

So remain where you are
Never uttering a word
When the war begins
Your screams will not be heard

Do not wait for a call
That will never come
There will be no ringing
Or songs of love by angels sung

Dont destroy your self
For one whose affection is cruel
Avoid allowing your soul to be lost
In a hole of regret and red raindrops
Heavy and terrible is the cost

Never give your all
Or there will be nothing left
No shining tomorrows
Only despair and sorrow
An empty dial tone
Do not wait

I will take from you
That which you love the most
One extraction at a time
Premeditated
Slow

Demons howl
Cold winds blow
Starting with what encompasses all

Down you go
There you lay
No surgeon’s knife
Will cure this malaise

Tilting your head
Watching the clock
Your soul shrivels
Body rots

I shall kiss you on the head
Bid you farewell
And meet you at the gates of hell

Down you go

In my dark eyes do you see
The monster hidden behind words
Crouching within
Hate coursing through my blood
Revenge driving my brain
Mad with anquish
Rife with hallucination

In my eyes do you see
What I have become
A insane woman ranting
Singing deaths  song
Chanting
Dragging betrayal by hand along
As I dance the steps of the lost
It is the cost
Of my deep yearning
What I desire to be
In my eyes do you see

Infiltrate the night
Invade peaceful slumber
Distorting thoughts
Inducing flight

Though no blood is shed
You will perish in your head
Waking to find
In panicked breath
Its completely surreal

Dreams twine round your heart
Blood pounding fiercely
Waking with a start
Leaving you in a lustful sweat
Without warning suddenly depart

Dreams of snakes
In terror your body quivers and shakes
Screams that no one can hear
The ability to instill fancy or fear
Such is the power of dreams

I have a friend from down under
Sassy as sheila’s can often be
She could tell you of the Aussies life
In a direct and no-nonsense sentence
Before you could count 1,2,3

This lass was full of spice and vinegar
As she scribbles on paper all day long
Her nights are filled with poetry and prose
And a silly Koo ka Burra's song

Have a good laugh at this fairy of mirth
The stories written from thoughts and eyes
Pause for a moment and see her world of magic
Of ancient rock, roo’s and aboriginal skies

Her tongue cuts like a clean-edged dagger
This mischievous brownie of sharpened wit
Her mind kisses the stark reality of the poems
Painted with vivid colors and wild spirit.

So there is my friend from down under
Born and raised in the land of crocs and thunder
A native of the dry and the wet
Amused upon fools she besets

If you cross this pixie heed my advice
Beware the sheila with the imaginary knife
Australian poet of stinging descriptive situations
As she offers to you her latest creations

You are blind to the creature you have created
It waits for you in the darkness
Pale gleaming eyes
Salivating
With great appetite and desire
For your black soul

Are you writing under forced consent?
Or the need to see your thoughts in print?
Does it set your intellectual mind on fire?
Engulfing you in a deep desire.

Does it torture you in your dreams at night?
The shining image of your name in lights
The nightmare of being one or the other
Anonymous or your face on the cover.

Instead fear the spirits that now inhabitant your heart
Those whom you have betrayed in love
Tremble in trepidation of these souls
Whose sadness was birthed in deception and treachery
Grown and watered with greed in bitter soil
And whose eyes now see nothing but hate
That await dipped in anger behind a silent door

Fear not who dwells below you
Or he that dwells above
Instead, live in trepidation of  ghosts that now inhabitant your life and heart
Those whom you have betrayed in love

May every strained breath be rife with regret
Every thought tainted with fear and blood
It is not who dwells above or below you should fear
Dread the wraiths you have betrayed in love

I will call out your name
Evil smile on my face
No doors on earth to flee
In this small victory
I rejoice
The cost of your soul
Uncountable tears

Suffer the punishment
The letters of he who rose
In black book of desert lands
Clearly written
Its breakage foretold

Ten rules
These words denied
Forgotten
As children taught

Chapters of antiquity
Blown away
By winds of sand
Scattered
No longer sought

Decay of life
Paid for in coin
Constructs the path
For vengeance wrought

From hell
I will scream out your name
Our punishment
Equal
Sentenced
Be the same

Blood red description
In the Baptist religion
Hell fire
Forever more
Eternal damnation
Endure together
Final condemnation

This under world
Where no light shines
Ringing of the forbidden bell
You will join me
In tortuous fire
Awaiting
I summon you to hell

The hour approaches of the new year
Again the ghosts start to rise
Another year as your companions
To be so until you expire

Wish not for glad tidings
There will be none found
As the spirits gather close about you
In a circle tightly bound

Long days begin
Nights seemingly without end
They float and hover about
Waiting and watching
With a saints patience
For the striking of Gods clock

You ask me tentatively
Is this just a story
Perhaps you could be wrong
It is the truth
I say with complete confidence
For I am one of the ghosts who haunt

To my friend from Down Under

I was driving down the road and what did I see
But a grasshopper with his pants on fire
With a snake hot on his tail he was moving his feet
That grasshopper with his pants on fire

Hopping high as he could go
A moving fast and ducking low
That grasshopper with his pants on fire
Well the snake was closing in and his race was soon to end
With that grasshopper with his pants on fire

The hopper tightened up his hopping
The snake knew there was no stopping
That grasshopper with his pants on fire

He’s got long legs for a reason
He's the toast of the season
Silly grasshopper with his pants on fire

Its time when orange pumpkins litter the ground,
And moaning ghosts bored float around.
Witches, goblins, imps and sprites,
Consumed with excitement
Prepare for this night.

Teeth of the vampire,
A horses feet,
Small humans ringing doorbells,
Boldly demanding treats.

A big orange moon,
Red eyes agleam,
To the creatures of the night,
Happy Halloween.

It keeps me warm
Though it is a soul’s
Consuming life storm
Controlling choice and action
To illicit intentionally with malice
A desired reaction

The thoughts of revenge
Quicken my blood
Perhaps only by myself
Clearly understood

Prompted by pseudo ****** in dreams
Forced to rise from my bed
Visions of death
Float wildly in my head
Hate
It keeps me warm

These embers of emotion
Burning coals
Glowing red and orange
Radiate from a warm  heart
Transformed into sour wood

I am the billows
With searing burning words
Fanning the flames
Until what I despise
Shall be no more
Hate
It keeps me warm

Deep in the dreams of night
As I lay sleeping helpless in cursed bed
Hands claw at my throat
Blue demon eyes stare into mine
Down my face run the color red

He comes to me
In the hours of the day
Alone I suffer his madness
Through out my life
His presence a living fear
Long blade
Poison tipped knife

He comes in shadows form
Bearing me harm
I call to the heavens and kneel
Into his heart
The light plunged sacred sword
Throughout his body spread death's chill

To hide his face
Camouflage violence and disgrace
Lies merged with truth
The ability to destroy
Debase
Those  closet to him

Unable to bear self
The heartless soul
What lies within
A fierce struggle will ensue
Regardless of the battle
Comes the end
Jagged mountains of mental instability
The unwinding begins
Sharp cliffs of deceit

He hides his face
To hide his face
Disguise with a smile
Fall from grace
Invented character
Takes lifes center stage
Hidden deep
For a short time sleeping
Uncontrollable rage

He hides his face
To hide his face

The thick liquid began to slowly drip
I need you
I wiped the red off my lips

Through out your life
You are mine forever
As the blood ran down my mouth
I shielded my body
My mind going slack

Hands on my white throat
Began violently to squeeze
Eyes rolled back into my head
My soul in terror tried to flee

As the darkness closed in
He let the words slip
I love you
Slowly releasing his grip

The sharp knife  against my throat
A weapon of fear
Submission its goal
Its deadly edge
I know all too well

Blue eyes
A person I did not know
Slept with me in the cradle of nightmares
Till the orange sun rose
He said I love you
A fool
My forgiveness flowed
For he was mine
This demon
To God I had spoken the vow

Always conscious and wary
He would speak the dreaded words again
I love you
Till would come my sad end

He touched her with his big hands,
Kissed away the flow of tears
He offered his strength
She let the pain go.
He was the only one she could do this with

Rocking her gently
Pretending not to notice,
The quiet whimpering.
The muffled cries
Guarding her heart from all trespassers
While he stared into the night

He would never again allow sadness to befall her,
An oath he took to himself.
To the gods he prayed,
To protect her from harm
Pledging his soul
Any who dare try he would slay.
He is now and forever her protector,
She loved him,
Though some fear remained.

He was solid and hard as granite,
She was very dear to him,
His love.
His life.
Knowing of her sadness
He saw lines of violence
Written upon the small face

After a while the shadows disappeared,
From his beloved’s world
As he held her close, stroked her hair and sighed.
She was oh so very dear to him this damaged soul
His love,
His life.

Allow a being into the bizarre world I have created
When my penance for being human
Has left me cold and my mind serrated

How could I allow myself
Even the slightest expectations
That the emotions of a whimsical poet
Could ever be expressed openly
Outside a circle of ones cursed with the same peculiar traits
Or anywhere but on crumpled yellow paper

To forfeit the right of control of my heart and mind
A simpleton vulnerability pinned to my chest
The quickening of my surging pulse
The fluttering of my heart
At the command of an image’s behest

How could I in my foolishness
Allow a being into the fantastical world I have created
When my explanations for being solitary
Even to myself have not slightly abated

A stark clear image emerges
The stars align in clustered constellation
Revealing the dream that has so alluded me
The life to which I am fated

Of woman's strength
Feminine emotion
Novice poet of rhyme
Wandering traveler in time
A skilled hunter

I am an outlaw
Choosing not to embrace conformity
Or integrate into the system
Societies matrix
The definition of normal
Existing uneasily on the fringe

Confederate born
Southern bred
I fly my flag with pride overhead
Not out of hate
To represent the heritage of my birth

A scholar
Obscurity is my chosen environment
Connoisseur of the written word
The yellowed paper soon obsolete

These are my many attributions
I will not dispute it
Indeed I am a maze of confusion
In the conscious world
I am a strange combination

I am in love with the forest
Tree covered mountain tops
Sun's golden rays
Across flowered valleys
A living painting that bade the breath stop

I am in love with the sounds
Of brightly colored morning birds
Singing their songs with shiny eyes
Their sweet melodious tunes
Wake me from my sleep
As they dance brightly plumed into blue skies

I am in love with all manner of woods life
A worshiper of Mother Earth
When I die forego the prayers of man
Into her protective arms my berth

In long velvet sighing hallways
With no shining beckoning light
No path guiding me forward
Nor any awaits me behind
My eyes shuttered windows
To life I am completely blind

I am stone deaf
To the sounds of angels
Having no ear for love and hope
Round my soul tightening
A strong knotted rope
I stand on the edge
Looking down in hesitation
Contemplating the jump

I cannot vocalize the sadness
That is devouring me
A lovers truth painted with pretty lies
My lips refusing to speak the words
My heart
An emptying hourglass
Seeping pain slowly dies

I am lost
In dark velvet sighing hallways
With no one to hear my echoing cries

I am not afraid of death
I am frightened of living
Carelessly giving
My heart to another
Excepting the risk
Of being destroyed

I view the world with cynical eyes
Discipline my pain
Stifle my cries
Summoning up the courage
To continue to take breath

I am not afraid of death
Hear me
I am afraid of seeing
In sheer terror of being

Alive

Come to me
Burning hearts desire
As stars dance across the night sky
I await you

Though only a shade you may be
You are that which I live and breathe
A love I shall never physically posses
For no life beats in this alien chest

Only during the night while I sleep
My mind saturated with thoughts
Darkness  seeds
Childish mistakes
Present choices
The paranoia of a vivid imagination
Insanity's voices

When slumbers silver carriage arrives
I open the door and prepare for the ride
Hands outstretched
I plead with no shame
While all the world sleeps
Come to me in my dreams
I await you

I wash way the thoughts of normality
To dance with shadowy images of time
As I plunge into the waters of emotions seething wildly

So cloak my cold body with the stars of sadness

I build the walls
Higher and higher
Counting the secs
Every minute
Every hour

I construct my jail
Block by block
Marking the time
The click of life's clock

Surrounding my barred prison
With bog and mire
Inside this black circle
A blue ring of fire

Cementing the cracks
***** by *****
Always contemplating
As I close my self in

Now my barbed towers kiss the sky
As many know me
No longer question why

I build the walls
Higher and higher
Counting the secs
Every minute
Every hour

Please pardon me as from society I quietly withdraw
As chaos rapidly approaches inadvertently consuming us all
I can see no sign of goodness in the heart of humans
No visage of the future as it is submerged in red

Kings of the darkness devoured by greed
Each sits haughtily on a throne of fire
Rife with the odor of rotting souls and coin
When the Angel of death quietly called

Now burdened with fear at what they had created
That which could not be undone
Drenched in repentance
They fell to their knees
Bowed low their heads and prayed
Alas the hour had passed for forgiveness
And so too dying of the day

Please pardon me as from society I quietly withdraw
As the chaos rapidly approaches inadvertently consuming us all
I can see no sign of goodness in the heart of humans
No visage of the future as it is submerged in red
Alas the hour had passed for forgiveness
So commenced the disappearance of man

I did not curse you with the hand of death
The cloak of gloom
The hand of doom
Instead, I cast my spell upon your heart

Forever entangled in turmoil and strife
An unsettled wanting life
Weakening the beats will cease
****** to seek a love
That does not exist
Nor ever will reveal itself
In the call of the morning or the songs of the night

Vengeance comes in many forms
Lying in wait unsated to be called
It befalls the unaware when least expected
The war between mind and soul
Tormenting endless storms

But take courage and cease trembling
I did not curse you with the hand of death
The cloak of doom
Ghosts of the dark
For I have no pity
I cast my spell upon your failing heart

When the sisters love and loneliness
In the latter part of my life
In their foolishness called upon me once more
I know them in depth
Pondering my decision with regret
Reluctantly with sadness
My heart an open portal
I closed the door

Chastise me freely for my disbelief
Or reproach me for my coldness
You may speak of devotion
And fluttering white doves
I scoff at its significance
But pray refrain if you will
From speaking the word love

I have encountered these emotions in my younger years
Engaged them in open battle
Not once
But twice before

Dangerous adversaries they are
And it is very tempting
To once again confront them in the arena of war
But in this instance,
Laying down my sword
I must respectfully decline
And closed the door

The emotions to destroy
****** and ****
I discipline my hands
Of my actions in command
My obsession with revenge being quite real

Silently bidding my time

Justice power unbound
When they place you cold in the ground
For you see I consume hate
A bite at a time

My anger was so great
That those near me burned
Turning away they could not bear the coals of growing fires
Human contact I spurned
For the thirst for revenge
Could not be contained or mastered
It radiated upon my face and cruel eyes
Massive energy of uncontrollable calculating emotion
Swept away all those before me in incineration
And laughing spoke soft words in their ear
I ****** their lives

My hate was deadly, and I cursed those who had wished me harm
In their excitement and wagging tongues
Forgotten was their  bravado
False regret or alarm
For my words were spoken in the cold long shadows of night
With disregard of their approaching plight
Never to be undone until my last breath took flight

My revenge was so great
That those near me burned
Turning away they could not bear the flames of fires
Spurning the Gods
I wished for them star-crossed dreams and desires
  Spoke the words of doom
That is forbidden to man
In my despair

But if you think I am remorseful
Look upon me closely and see
It radiates from my face and cruel eyes
Words humans no longer speak
I ****** their lives

Remember my warning
It is not always as it seems
I am the perfect example
Of a carefully calculated balance
Though the dilution is minimal

I dilute my life
Micro fluids at a time
Prefer say I
To alter my mind
Lacking the inclination
To engage life in its full splendor

My blood is thin
Lacking in luster
I will select dilution
As the only and perfect equation
A multi element and mineral combination
For the moment
The only logical solution

I am sure you are quite curious
What will be the conclusion
As I live tentatively in small amounts
Cut in to elaberate patterns
With a sharpened knife
I dilute my life

I do my best to hide the pain
Drowning in laughter and a painted smile
Hoping my cries go unheard
By those dearest to me

Weak I do my best
At playing the unwanted part
No hand offered
Or prayers said on my behalf
Will the halt the decline
Dying is my heart

So each day I rise
Though I am now dead within
For with loves fickleness I lie
To my audience I  bow
A talented actor
My life the stage
I do my best to hide the pain

You see me weeping
Dont be alarmed
Its just pain seeping
From the crack
That has formed within my heart

If by chance
You see me smiling
An excellent actress
To myself I am lying
Sadness my company that day

If by chance you see me dying
Dont be foolish
Cease the crying
I chose the path
Love great deceiver
The bearer of violence

If by chance you see me weeping
Or behind my shadow creeping
My soul is gone
Rising high with the sun's rays

What then would be my crime?
Shunning loves shrewd face
Drenched with false affection
For the universe of words and rhyme

To whom shall it matter
If I am no more
The insects of social web?
Lying snake tongues devoid of goodness
Through their veins the blood of deceit ebbs.

If I should draw black curtains
Turning head forever from light
Abandoning consciousness
Locking and sealing realities door
Possessing no beginning or end
Descending into the unknown
What then would be my crime?

With waiting arms
Catch me if I fell
Down the tunnel of past my soul plunge
Into depression's cold deep well

Dry the tears
That lay on my cheeks
Caress my lips ever lightly
Offer a lovers embrace

Calm me
With tender words
When life becomes too much to bear
Tiny stitches sew with kindness
To mend my poor hearts tear

Place your hand in mine
Affection's gift without cost
Brave the dungeon of dark shadows
Should I stumble and become lost

Cast a net of sparkling stars
Across me as I sleep
Guard me from monsters of sadness
If in my slumber weep

If you loved me

Eyes closed
In this dirt hole I lay
Lips unmoving
Having nothing to say
Though now silent and cold
For the curious  sake
I leave a small clue

The unexpected wound was too deep
Unaware
I was mortally injured
Continued to bleed
Until all that remained of a once warm body
Was a white stiff corpse
Thin empty blue veins
The end

I have nothing more to say

Love
I have no visions
This collage of confusing emotions
I harbor no silly notions
Of loyalty kindness
Tenderness or devotion

I have no visions of love never ending
This nonsense I abandoned long ago
Words of passion are easily broken
Becoming nothing but an unending dream

I have no visions
I consider it an affliction
Illusion
Addiction
When it visits
Leaves upon your heart
Scars and lesions

So I state my reasons
Why I have no visions

I live in a world of fantasy
Not caring to dangle my feet
Into the fountain of reality
The waters of life offer no joy
To a soul that has retreated to another plane

It is true I am reclusive
At times irritating
Extremely elusive
I confess
I am unconventional
As most poets are somewhat eccentric
This I am sure you already know

In truth I am an artist of letters
Mixing and stirring words around
Emerging the vision comes forth
Magician of ink and paper
As I write it ****** the imagination

So it is I live in a world of fantasy
A movement of my pen into structured paragraph
The colors are there for all to see
A picture of anything they desire it to be
My strange world of fantasy

And was driven to the edge of madness
Revulsion for life graced my table
A cold menu of despair and sadness

I loved once

Deeper than the secret oceans turquoise blue
Coy as the moon’s soft pale bashful hue
The blinding orange of the boastful sun

I loved once

Their closeness took my breath away
Lost were the words on my lips I could not say
The downward spiral of my tortured heart
That beats slower each day

But I loved once.

Tis a full blood moon
Shining in a witches eye
The ****** winds blow crossways
As the hour draws nigh

The ghosts rattle their wispy chains
Soulless red smiling demons scream
The night of all nights the poltergeists whisper
Haunting voices that cannot be seen

Black dressed hags riding brooms star high
Cackling cast their spells
Halt the waves of time
Those who speak no more in coffins
When commanded would rise

For it’s a full red moon
In a witch’s eye.
When the creatures of darkness
Frolic round an enchanted fire

The dance of the werewolves continued
So the cold night tells
Not a single trace will ever be found
Where those of the underworld dwell

Gaze deeply into the dancing flames
But beware, careless humans,
Of that which may be seen
When orange goblins of the blood moon
Celebrate Hallows Eve

I have decided
I need a new heart
For the one in this body
Is falling apart
All these cuts and holes
Are just a bit too much
Where once the blood ran red
It now flows black

So if you please
I need a new heart
The contemporary model
Composed of plastic parts

Cold and unfeeling
To the **** sapiens plight
Having no human emotions
Fresh off the assembly line
I need a new heart

I pledged my love
I pledged my youth
It would be many years
Before me stand truth
The face that smiled with kindness
The loyalty I bore
My word given before god
Maintained the blindness

This perpetrator of violence
The need for submission
Ground grateful and willingly
Underneath hard heel

This life of falseness
Living in crimson fear
Distorted
Drops of blood so real

Then from the blows of darkness
Rose a stranger
I had yet to know
Pen in hand
Stack of paper
The ink of sadness
In rivulets flowed

Writing of the hearts pain
Of death
Come all too soon
Happiness love loss despair
The price of being human
