She put down her book and
rolled over to his side,
Searching for sincerity
in his dilated eyes.
"Do you believe in dragons?"
A pause. A knowing smile.
"Yes."

I pray to be preyed upon, you say your thanks, the silence hangs, heavy with the promise of your hands, their slow advance, the teasing dance, of your fingers on my arm injects me into forbidden lands.

You know the way some years
in retrospect can
make you feel like
a ******
watching a scene
too sacred for her eyes?
Like these moments were stolen
from somebody else's time.
She has no right- I have no right,
to look at this girl, and her life.
So different from me,
from mine.
(I tried to make the poem look like an upside down keyhole, zzt.)
