the gums of the unforgiving black peat
slowly ****** my corpse deep into its belly
where I lay with my eyes closed by order
slowly digested into the surrounding hillside
where rabbits scratched a living out the bog-
grass, which grew richer around my decomposing
body, thrown garrotted and stabbed to death-
a sacrificial offering to the bog for an increased harvest
