The priest preaches proudly, ‘Now is the time for forgiveness!’
It’s only been two days later what’s he saying?
284 people dead from a Red surface to air
Falling from the Ukrainian sky bodies of despair
Children, Mothers, Fathers, Husbands, friends and wives
Families in far-away countries cry
As bank cards are rinsed and possessions taken
Last belongings burnt final memories forsaken

And Gods speaker says we must forgive them already?
Is he joking? What’s he been smoking? Something heavy!
Should we forgive the murderers and takers of innocent life?
Should we forgive the solider who fires off wild?
Should we forgive him when he shoots your family?
Should we forgive him when he shoots your friend?
Should we forgive him when his gun points at your head?
Should we forgive him when he’s shot you dead?
