I kept screaming
And I couldn't stop.
Something is wrong with me.
I burnt my hand
And screamed at the top of my lungs.
I took four breaths
And just kept screaming.
I haven't felt release
Like that in my lifetime.
And I recall
Trying to choke it back.
I tried to stop screaming.
And when the screaming stopped.
And the sobbing began.
All I could say was
I'm sorry.

Something is wrong with me.
I'm demented.
