You should watch the way you walk
in between broken glass
You should watch the way you talk
the sheer force of impact it has
You should watch the way your silence
screams every thought
You should know the level of violence
my heart endures
hoping and caught
You should know that my breathing slows
every **** time you go
You should know how angry and broken
I become
You should know my heart races
my body becomes numb
You should know how each breath I take
leads to my heart, and lungs burning
You should know how each time my heart is at stake
still, yet I sit foolishly yearning
You should watch the way you walk
in between broken glass.
