while I was sleeping
I dreamt of blood

let flounder in light of dawn
for five hours on end
give all view, ripped vellum
for five hours

blood sinks out ashen face
as eyes fall on proof
of inner sanctum

while I was sleeping
you slew deep and left

right, now awake
senses serve no function
in sudden tepid treacle
vigorous swirls of shark ridden words
cut jagged and abrupt
despondent clime

ouch

as I was waking
I smelt blood
mine
