You can have the city
I don't want it anymore
So I laid a map of the city streets
Beside your front door
I know it's a large gift
But in no way will it restore
The fact that our attempt at love
Ended in a war
i wrote this after listening to "Manhattan" by Sara Bareilles for like the 50th time
