Dec 2013
her soul leaked out from her fingertips
as she grazed his neck underneath his beard
and enticed him to move in a manner
much like a snake and its charmer

he fell in love with the smell of her sweat
as she teased his lips with her bare chest
moving in a manner
much like a snake and its charmer

and they were strangers
dancing to the rhythm of no music
charming one another
like serpents, entangled as lovers

though, lovers of what,
this man asks
as he finds pleasure in her deep eyes
as if he was watching burning skies
enjoying the rise
of a belief in one singular Gods demise

for he questioned what was taught
when he looked into her eyes
and asked himself,
may all I was told be nothing but lies
for I find myself believing this girl to be a God
and I find myself standing on Lucifer's side

and they remained like serpents
her and I
biting, poisoning one another
moving as if we would never die

oh, Lucifer
let her burn
as she finds the irony
in the wet she yearns

oh, Lucifer
how did you know I'd love to make her sweat
how did you know
I would love to make her come

how did you know
I was not the only one

such a sad romantic, you are
finding pleasure in the destruction of stars

oh, Lucifer, light bearer
giver of tempting fires

let us die
as we give in to all our desires

dear Lucifer,
let our fires expand higher

let us slip into that black hole
and fall in love with the other side
