Nov 2013
When the months turn cold, my heart turns to stone
When the colors fade, my chest aches
When the wind whispers my name
I shiver and silently beg, "No!"
My eyes flick up to the sky
I watch as the low dark clouds of my nightmares haunt me
I watch
Frozen in time, I choke on my caught screams
I clench my fists to my sides, and close my eyes
I sink into the storm as it surrounds me
I hold tightly on to the memories of you and me
I watch as reds and oranges reach the sky, destroying what little was alive.
