I hate hearing your name,
Seeing your face,
Listening to your voice,

I hate asking how you are,
What you’re up to nowadays,
Pretending I even care anymore,

I hate hearing about the things you make,
Your accomplishments and ambitions,
About all of your favorite things to do,

I hate making small talk with you,
That you keep dead conversations going,
Filling the silences I don’t want to fill,

I hate how you think my friends are yours,
That they like you more than me,
That you’re winning them over,

I hate that you talk like I never existed,
Like we never shared a history,
Like you never loved me at all,

I hate that I miss that part of you
The part that I never could hate
Even though after everything, I should.
