I wish you were here
And could hold me.
I expect that you have big, strong arms,
And would make me feel
Safe, warm, blissfully buried.
I bet being held by you
Would feel like hibernation,
Like shutting out the cold, cruel world.
I wish you were here
And could hold me,
I'll wish it for a little while longer,
Until I fall asleep.
