Jul 2010
Waited for today for months
You counted down eagerly
I counted unhappily
For today came too fast

So how will I function?
A drunken kiss goodbye
A kiss that meant nothing
That’s what I’ll remember

From you

I thought there may have been something
But I never really noticed
All along the tables were turned
Turned for always in your favour

And I was strung along
But I loved you so bad
I couldn’t get enough
I couldn’t understand

The day that you left and
Many days that followed
I didn’t want to live
To know that you are gone

And there won’t be that day
When you walk back here
Into my life one day
When I hope so much…
