America what will it be
The choice is ours
While we’re still free
Democracy or hypocrisy?
We’re at the crossroads
Of our destiny
What the future holds
We’ll just have to see

America what will it be
In God we trust
In this land of the free
Or Fox News broadcasts
And conspiracies?
Not to mention the big lie
Which is heresy
And an anathema to me

America what will it be
Will we conform to
The autocracy
Or resist and hold on
To democracy?
Which isn’t easy
Believe you me
Though vigilance is the key

America what will it be?
We have to decide
It’s an emergency
Let’s stand up to
The insurgency
Before it engulfs
All that we see
And impact our history
