daddy walked away didnt love mamma anymore
packed up a all his things walked on out the door
she was left to raise me.  now my daddys gone
now theres me and mamma who have to carry on

did the  best she could to raise and bring up me
she was everything that a mamma should be
didnt have much money going it got rough
mamma still got by mamma she was tough

taught me right from wrong made a man of me
she had raised me up from the age of three
never saw my dad since he walked out the door
when he told he told my mamma he never loved any more

im so proud of mamma brought me up alone
from the age three she raised me on her own
best mamma in the world there could ever be
taught me right from wrong made  a man of me
