No one’s in the closet
Anymore
No one has to be there
Like before
Nowadays they open up
The door
To reveal themselves
I’ll tell you more

No one has to hide
What they desire
Or the gender of who
Lights their fire
Or the kind of ***
That they inspire
Just as long as
That’s what takes ‘em higher

No one has to pretend
To be ashamed
Of the preferences
That they have named
Nor can that be used’
Just to defame
The ones who find themselves
Caught in that game

No one can deny that
Things have changed
Lest not those who
Were once estranged
My how some things
Seem to rearrange
To the point where
Few still find them strange
