Woke up half past ten,
I wanted to stay in bed again

The coffee *** was too hot,
Didn't even get to drink a drop

Slavin' hard eight days a week,
Just to barely make ends meat

Then I get my check on Friday,
Taxes took half my pay away

Overslept,
I'm so tired
If I'm late,
I'll get fired
Why bother
Why the pain
Just to go home
And do it again

But what can you do,
That's life in the Brooklyn Zoo
