Kiss of ice
and kiss of frost,
who remembers what was lost?
Fading light,
fading sight,
who ran off
into the night?

Whispers,
mutters,
something gone
who will live
when comes the dawn?

With,
without,
live,
or die
How can such variables
to this apply?

Can one live
without the other?
Or must one leave
with fear to smother

Words
no one
will ever hear,
But if they had
would they endear?

Quiet, quiet
no more words
With them
emotion comes in herds

Mocking,
haunting,
ghostly face,
weaving love
and thoughts like lace

Cold as frost
and cold as ice
And yet your lips
will still entice...
Opening of a story of a similar name.
