The thing I really love
about a child
before the age of ten
is their honest reaction
no shame or pretend
So open to the world
receiving all so openly
because their vision is
unrefined & they have no
dexterity

Their reaction
to a situation
is immediate
No cause for hesitation
No contemplation
of the situation
just honest
adulation

It's refreshing
to the core
Sometimes it's
over exuberant
but never is a bore
To be the recipient
Of such
