A butterfly landed on a dragon's nose exhausted by her flight.
The dragon opened his enormous eyes and marveled at the sight!

"Are you not scared of me?" he finally had to ask.
" I carry all of these scars and this scaled and tooth filled mask."

"Not at all!" she replied "I think you look very warm."
"If truth be told I need shelter from the coming storm."

A tear glided down the dragon's cheek as he spread his wings apart.
The love that was shown in that moment...
actually touched his heart.

He covered them both with his wings and the joy he could not hide.
For he made her warm from the storm but she made him warm...
on the inside!
