Alone in a five walled room
Silence intruded
With violent caterwauling
Echoing throughout.
Ancient scribes capture surreal
Images spilling
From the grey depths of my mind:
Drift up the small stream
Guided by five flying fish
Fireflies dancing
To music with no tune,
Black panthers and mice
Swimming in the coral reefs
With the fish and birds
The landscapes ooze perfection.
Faceless gypsy queens
Appear in my mirror
Saying my time here is through.

………
The light burns brightly
Jolting me from my comforts

Bringing back the grey.
