The parliament is dissolved they said
Elections within two months they said
Don’t  vote for the other side they said
The other side is corrupted they said
The incumbent is a liar, thief and adulterer they said
The other guy will pawn the country they said
They said they will give us money
And avail cheap food, education and medical
They said they know what they’re doing
They’ve been doing it for many years

It’s funny how they say a lot of things
Some very nasty, not fit for learned people
I just hope it doesn’t rain, so i can do my rounds
I just hope they buy my bread, buns and snacks
When six o’clock comes!
