An apple a day,
Keeps the doctor away.
For me an apple a day ,
Keeps my hunger away,
Says the beggar who lives down the street,
Big apples or small apples ,
Green apples or red apples,
All taste sweet,
When you have nothing to eat .
In that case said dad,
"So you shall be fed,
Apples on the tree big and round,
Apples on the ground,
Take your pick,
From my garden every week.
