On the verge of greatness,
an (almost) full moon looms above;
a cautionary tale of a boy and a girl below.
The rhythmic way you flick your cigarette
leads me to believe that you too
are considering the potential
of these ingredients
together.
As it burns,
we turn to face the facts
(and each other).
As it burns,
we wonder what we're after
(after all).
As it burns,
we consider the night
(and the company it offers).
As it burns,
we
slowly
smolder
too.
There can be so much potential in a parking lot.
