Life won’t wait
An echo from time past
Still haunting in it’s sincerity.

Two steps forward
Rocking backwards
Keep pushing ahead
Can’t stop to breathe
To think
About the desire for just
One
Small
Sip.

The Ambrosia
Delicious firewater,
Replaced by the bitter taste
Of ground beans

Life won’t wait
She doesn’t care if I fail.
Tomorrow is another day
Tomorrow, I might not step back
But tonight
Tonight I seek--
Need to quench that desire.

Dusk is approaching
The sound of revelry rampant
A holiday to drinking passes by
And here I stand
Watching the crowds
My head in my hands
Counting the minutes,
Lying that normalcy
Returns with the dawn
Of just another day in March.
WIP? I would appreciate any feed back.
