There she was, like any given day
corner of lark, spare change and she’ll play
whispering words of life, love and beauty, to a tune
Thats always been hers

She’s got her degree, four years in Tennessee
sharing her heart with the listeners,
the strangers, and with me
working her way up the musical tree

Nothing’s easy, she knew it,
better love it, if you choose it
something to work for,
has a certain amusement.
