i don’t write poetry about you because that’s what you already are

walking lines and rhyming phrases
messy ink spotting my pages
covering my pages
effortlessly the words run from your lips

and drip

and drip

i just watch and witness the letters caress the air as they escape your mouth

and i have no doubt
you are my poetry
you are my words
