Here's a post
a mile post,
a mark at most
along the road.

I sat on several
to remind me
I could sit on several more
but
several turned into
several score
and many
more to go.

They fade in time
probably because
the rain acts upon the lime
erasing details,
and like memories
although they're there
you can't quite see them.

I'm just following the vapour trail
tasting
the scent of the wind and
wondering where it went wrong.
