May 2018
my mind is trapped inside a box, and doesn't know it yet.
it hurts my head
I lay in bed
and try to conjure memories, that often, I forget.

the light, it flickers on and off inside my lonely brain.
it hurts my head
I lay in bed
and shut my eyes, closing them tight, and listen to the rain.

I hear a high pitched ringing noise, echoing through the dark.
it hurts my head
I lay in bed
and wonder where the cacophony at first had embarked.

disruption and light now fading fast give my head some peace
it calms my mind
and now I find
I can finally sleep.
