Lingering

They fled,
They ran and those who stayed
Eventually were led away

Some gripped
Tight squeeze in belief
Faith a drink to be sipped

Some sank
Pulled under breathless
Trance like, as they drowned in relief

Pure for some
The sleep of the traitor
Logic betraying lust

While the runners run
The stayer's welcome the confusion
Perched on your shoulders--- knocking

Hoping u answer to say "hello, I miss you"
