She walked along the side walk slowly
watching the cars go by
All the while there was an unshakable feeling
that she was held in someone elses design

Since she was young like everyone
it was engrained how to think
how to act
how to dress
and with in such a vast and astonishing world
there were so many limitations

She stopped for a moment and took off her shoes
but could only feel cold pavement
