At some point you will be knocked down,
Maybe by bullies,
Maybe by something unknown.
Maybe by something you know is bad,
But you can't push it away because you're scared.

You would think someone would catch you,
Especially the person you love,
But what if they disappear with you in their arms?
What if their spirit turned into a dove?

What if you are neglected when you need their warmth the most?
What if you know they have feelings
But they love someone more?
What do you do if they act you don't exist and pass through you as if you are a ghost?

He was there to catch me when I fell,
That much is a miracle.
But my soul has gone to the Upside Down,
And left there just to dwell.

Safe yourself the pain,
Keep feeling 22 for heck sakes,
You could stay or you could go,
Or you could save yourself the pain.
The most miraculous thing of all,
Would be if you keep your guard up
