Flap after flap, muscles straining,
Any headway immediately counteracted
By a fresh gust.
Every valiant effort proves fruitless;
Fixed firmly in place despite the strain
And frustration.
'Til at last, shifting slightly to the left,
You fly away, unimpeded,
To a new destination.
