We were both wearing purple
Such a beautiful color
It made your eyes pop
And you said it made my eyes sparkle
You said you loved me
Repeatedly
And I loved you too
I wanted to kiss you but I knew that I couldn't
So instead I held you until the music ended
Then you kept leaving me to dance with your friends
And I said something that I would soon regret
On our way home we said some things
Or rather, yelled some things
And that was our last dance
And my last chance to hold you
