There is an absence
Colorless and infinite.
It burns and turns
And sings.

I stare into it
And feel
The sum of everything.

Past, present, and future
Speak
In a voice that cannot be heard.
There are no words.

Every second of every day
This absence calls to me.
When I eat and when I sleep
And when I watch T.V.

Sometimes it gets so loud
It shakes the corners
Of reality

And consumes all of me.

I know that this scares you.
I see it in the lines of your face.
You wait for it to happen,
Before you speak
You hesitate.

I wish I could offer comfort,
But there's not much that I can say.
Just wait for me to surface.
I'll be back in a few days.
