There she is
packing her things quietly
with that furrowed brow
It's impossible to read her emotions
She tosses in the blue dress she wore
on our first night out
She looked so beautiful
and that was when I started falling
Falling for her hard and fast
She zips up her suitcase,
packed tight with all our memories
Swiftly, she turns
and heads for the door
barely making eye contact with me
She gets in the car
slams the door
and drives off to God knows where
"I love you," I whisper out the window
But it was all too late.
