DIFFERENT SHADES OF GRAY

Oh, how I dreamed while I sleep
Into many different shades of gray,
Upon my silk bed;
Oh, how love has lost his way,
Where I lay on the grace of meadows,
Oh, how I see troubled times standing before me,
The old ancient winds crying at me again,
Waves of lies wildered around the night
Fighting the mind;
Darkness weighting the way where faith
Could no longer be traveled to worn,
Upon on the sea tangled web it sprayed,
Where heart is always being broken,
Bones are like tokens,
Spirits are weak,
While the dreamers’ sleeps,
A place of weeping, agitation of true agony,
I hear Dark Angel speak his lies,
Oh, slaves try not to cry,
Oh, do you hear the angels sing
Fathers of ancient time dancing around in spring,
A place where eyes see many things,
Where life seems like a faraway dream,
Oh, look how they weep for thee,
Pity is we who now see what Dark Angel brings
To all of us who vision upon holy grounds,
Where love was lost and soon be found,
Oh, let your happy tears fall,
let the light shine in the darkness of your mind,
Who replied in ancient time,
Oh, do call the watchman of the sea.
