Missing,
The red.
Something a little like a shiny squirrel.
Once the colour was precious.
Rare.
Glowing.
Proud.
Cherished.
Protected.
Now,
Merely.
An irksome rodent pest.
Is faded.
Still buzzing.
Skittish,
Scurrying.
Grey.
