Oh, how your precious love
is the source of all the life
within my soul.
And oh, how my every breath
and my every heat beat
depends upon your precious love.
Oh, you are the source
of all my dearest hope
for a love
that I have longed for
since the beginning
of all my memories.
Oh, how I long for the beat of your heart
as you lay upon my chest
and for a precious love
that is a song
only I can hear.
Oh, a song whose silent words
fill my soul.
Whose words sing
of a love
that forever makes
this passion within me
grow and grow
untill my heart
seems to burst with its overflowing
like the love
that lives in the heart of God.
Oh, I know my heart
shall forever hold that song
for as long as I shall ever be.
Oh,  the moment you came
from your mother's womb
eternity was forever changed for me.
Oh, without you
how I would face such a bleak eternity.
Oh, I know the whole world
would be dear
and the heavens would
only be a dull shadow.
And oh, how it would be
a nightmare world
in which no one
ever lives.
Oh, if the unthinkable
the nightmare
of my losing you
ever become real
I would be overcome
the grim figure of death
that would make its home
within my heart.
Oh, I would die
and all the world with me!
And all joy and laughter
would be nevermore!
Oh, if I should ever lost you
let a raven a black as death
like a fiend from hell
devour my grieving heart
and let me be no more.
Oh, my lovely angel
let me forever
live in your heart
for as long as I shall ever be
and my heart shall ever beat.
Oh, and then let me follow you
into that sweet eternity
from which no mortal returns.
