Spoken so boldly
With pride
With confidence
A different tongue
A different taste
A different face

Puts me to shame
Does not belong
Beggars and tramps
Loved by God
Yet ragged in faith
In trust
In all

Still merciful
And giving
And loving
In all
I am dyed
in chartreuse

Motionless in
Shame
And anger
