I was taught that blood was thicker than water.
I was taught that friends come and go.
I was taught that a friend wouldn't be able to love you like family.

But what happens when your friends become your family?

The traditional familial bond melts away.
Soft like butter on warm toast.
Their love melts me to my core.

I am incredibly lucky.
